Early last month, my wife started a batch of Wiccan themed ritual plates. I posted a picture of them in the kiln after she applied the underglaze to them, and was getting ready to fire them. After a very long wait (it seemed like forever to me), they are finally finished. I like the texture on the Triple Moon plate. And the Merry Meet plate is pretty nice. But my favorite is the Harm None plate, I like the contrast between the white details and the burgundy color of the plate. All these plates are earmarked to go to Spiritways--more will probably be made for the Etsy store sometime later this year.
MDE here--just went into the studio to get something, and I looked in the kiln. And I must admit that I can't wait to see how these Wiccan themed plates turn out. This looks like it is a bisque firing (how is that spelled?) with underglaze. I am so excited!!!
(And I just realized that there is a cat in this video--Studio Kitty strikes again.)
My wife is having a Valentine's Day Sale over on her Etsy shop, Celtic Soul Jewelry and Pottery. You can get fourteen percent off your purchase (including already discounted items) by entering VALENTINE14 at the check out. This discount code is good until February 28th.
For those who are curious, she currently has three different mortar and pestles available, three different dog bowls, as well as her jewelry.
MDE here--my wife has been busy the last couple of months with her work (long-term substitute teacher assignment) and doing a class for her Masters program. She has penciled in some time to work in the studio during her short Xmas vacation.
Recently, my wife took over a bunch of her little wheel thrown corked jars over to Quantum Alchemy (913 Corona St, Denver Colorado). The owner of Quantum Alchemy is selling the jars as Wish Jars.
