Custom made chalices

Here are some of the chalices that were made recently. There is a large variety of symbols that can be used: Templar cross, Wicca pentacle, triple moon, and horned god. There are also several scrolls that can be applied. We have a variety of glaze colors to choose from; all of them are food safe. The chalices are hand thrown, underglazed and fired, then overglazed and fired a second time. The whole process from start to finish takes seven to eight weeks.

If you are interested in ordering a custom made chalice, check out Khari's Wiccan Treasures on Etsy.

Custom-made pet urns

One of our most popular items are wheel thrown pet cremation urns. Currently we can make ceramic pet urns with paw prints for dogs, cats, and ferrets. We do have a size limitation (basically, my skill and strength does not allow me to make urns for godzilla sized dogs). And you can order a custom-made urn; the most common customization request is to put the pet's name on the lid of the urn.

If you are interested, you can check out my Etsy shop.

Adventures in shipping

This is what Morgan calls "adventures in shipping." Occasionally, a squirrel will think that there is food in the shipment (there is not), and will chew a hole in the box---sometimes, the hole is bigger than other times. And occasionally Morgan sees the hole, and decides to patch it up. In this case, Morgan was putting the last bit of tape on when the mailman walked up. Good times.

Chalices (underglazed)

Chalice underglazed.
Morgan here. Awhile back someone asked me if my wife made goblets. Of course, being the non-artist type, I had no idea what the difference was between a chalice and a goblet. Furthermore, at the time I could locate any pictures of the chalices that my wife makes. (I had forgotten to take pictures of the last batch that she did that ended up at Spiritways.)

Another underglazed chalice.
Today, when going out to the studio to take a picture of a coffee mug, I spotted these two chalices that have been underglazed that I believe are going into the next kiln firing, and thought that I would take a couple of quick shots just so people knew what type of chalice my wife was capable of making.

Unfortunately, I can't remember who asked me if my wife makes chalices. Hopefully, they see this post.

Studio Kitty does not remember who it was either.
